As some of you might know, I've been actively working on the device firmware. It's been quite the journey, and honestly, I ran into some unexpected issues that demanded my full attention.

Now that development is continuing, I'll start sharing firmware updates here for those of you who are curious about what's new. This is the first such post, and here are the recent changes:

  • Firmware management on the website: I've implemented a new system on the website to make managing firmware much smoother.
  • New firmware checks with METAR: The device will now check for new firmware updates when it fetches new METAR data. If there's an update available, you'll be prompted and have the option to skip it if you're not ready.
  • Last station saved: The last station you used will now be saved and reloaded automatically when the METAR is refreshed, saving you a step.
